Displaying ink too light in DR1000

After I’ve used my iRex DR 1000 device for more than half a year, the displaying ink of the device turns light for any PDF file, almost too faint to easily read the letters. There is no change for intensity of the display when the device is connected by USB. The ink intensity gradually diminishes during a session under lamp light, but anyway, at the beginning of session, the ink intensity has already not been high, particularly, the ink in lower side of the display is lighter than upper half side.

Does your DR1000 device have the same problem after using a period of time? How to fix the problem?

That looks a lot like the fading issue that eInk in general has when used in direct sunlight. I've never seen an official explanation of exactly why that happens.

IMO, this to me sounds like something that you would want to get fixed under warranty. I'd open a ticket with iRex's tech support and see if they will repair/replace the device.
