my back is hurting in memory (well it always hurts) but a friend of mine and I were talking about trimming hooves and my back practically went into spasms no doubt letting me know that was completely off the table for me |

I've run the hot water prior to starting the dishwasher since the 60s. There is (or at least, was) a heating element in the dishwasher, but it's more efficient and cheaper to start with hot water.

I wash down the dual sinks, and by the time I'm done the water is usually hot enough.

my feet are ballooning up! yesterday and today, I'm laying down with my feet way up now. yeah, I know, go to the Doc. anyway, I don't have a salt heavy diet, this has occasionally happened usually only when it is much warmer and when I have been on the road a lot. I seem to recall taking something that made me pee like forever that took care of it. with getting ready for the surgery it seems that I am at some kind of medical specialist at least three times a week and would just like to take care of something on my own

Hydrochlorothiazide. Primarily prescribed as a blood pressure medicine, it is an effective and safe diuretic. And cheap.

...please don't take medical advice from here. Especially when you have swollen feet after being on the road a lot, because it's very important that thrombosis etc be ruled out. (and diuretics won't do a damn thing for that, except possibly make it worse.)

I'm in trouble... I missed my wife's birthday yesterday. She's been in Japan for the past couple of weeks, and although we talk once or twice a day on Skype, I simply forgot... As soon as I remembered I sent off a huge bouquet of flowers, but of course it will be two days late. Bummer.
