Additional panel to Book details section

Hi,

After having read the plugin dev documentation and API, it seems to me, that there is no
way of adding additional panel to Book details section as a plugin. Is that right?

What I want to do is add a panel with predefined tags displayed as check boxes, so it's easy to edit the tags of a book in a couple of clicks.

Can someone hint me where to look for that: where in the source code or some other thread that's related to my question?

You may be able to achieve this with a User Interface plugin, but it would operate "stand-alone" rather than as an extra panel.

Kiwidude's Modify ePub certainly has a user interface with many check-boxes, so it seems possible.
