Well, the iLiad uses WACOMs “Penabled” technology, and 23 € is roughly what you have to pay for the simplest replacement pen at http://www.wacom-shop.net. The ones that support tilting and more pressure levels are of course more expensive.

Indeed i would be very disappointed if this 650 Euro device which fullfills all my needs of an ebook reader and from which i expect quality would come together with a crappy 3 Euro noname Stylus ...

Since with wacoms technology all the important parts (tilt and pressure sensors) are located in the pen and the pad acts only as an antenna I would assume that a “crappy 3 Euro noname Stylus” wouldn’t work anyway.

And those are replacement items. All the mentioned items, but the cradle, ship with the iLiad, as far as i know.
