Tom Rob Smith thriller for 81 cents on Fictionwise

I just picked up a book by Tom Rob Smith, called Child 44, for about 80 cents on Fictionwise. It was an awful lot more just a few days ago. I happened to spot it in an airport a while ago and mentally filed it away under 'sounds interesting'; can't go wrong for less than a US dollar.

Tom Rob Smith’s beleaguered hero is a protagonist who we know will (at some point) have to rebel against the totalitarian state he works for. But it is the suspense of waiting for this moment as much as the exigencies of the thriller plot that makes this such a compelling novel. --Barry Forshaw "

Annoyingly enough - by which I mean very annoying - it wouldn't let me buy it at first because my credit card is for the UK. But I topped up my micropay with paypal and got it just fine.

I don't see any books by "Tom Rob Smith" or any titles "Child 44" on Fictionwise. Usually, items priced that low are short stories or novellas.

Not available in either ePub or .LRF so I'm not going to download it.

Maybe their "Search" function was broken earlier. It didn't work earlier, but seems to find the book now. Of course, since I have a Kindle, the format isn't compatible, so I couldn't buy it anyway.

Also, the price is $7.99, not $.80.

It was $0.95 with $0.10 micropay rebate earlier today. Looks like it's back up to $7.99 now.
