Sir Francis Bacon (22 January, 1561 - 9 April 1626)
Essays, Civil and Moral is a series of essays written in a wide range of styles, from the plain and unadorned to the epigrammatic. They cover topics drawn from both public and private life, and in each case the essays cover their topics systematically from a number of different angles, weighing one argument against another.
In The New Atlantis Bacon portrays a vision of the future of human discovery and knowledge, expressing his aspirations and ideals for humankind. The novel depicts the creation of a utopian land where "generosity and enlightenment, dignity and splendour, piety and public spirit" are the commonly held qualities of the inhabitants of the mythical Bensalem.

John Milton (9 December 1608 – 8 November 1674)
Areopagitica is a 1644 speech opposing licensing and censorship. It is among history's most influential and impassioned philosophical defences of the principle of a right to freedom of speech and expression. It is regarded as one of the most eloquent defences of press freedom ever written because many of its expressed principles form the basis for modern justifications of that right.
Tractate on Education is Milton's contribution to contemporary debate about methods of education, which in turn was part of a larger discussion about how the Church should be organized and how the State should be governed. It is presented as a letter written in response to a request from the Puritan educational reformer Samual Hartlib.

Sir Thomas Browne (19 October 1605 – 19 October 1682)
Religio Medici (The Religion of a Doctor) is a book by Sir Thomas Browne, which sets out his spiritual testament as well as being an early psychological self-portrait. In its day, the book was a European best-seller and brought its author fame and respect throughout the continent. It was published in 1643 by the newly qualified physician after an unauthorized version of his writings on the Christian virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity had been distributed and reproduced with added text the previous year.

Yes. It was an incomplete download. As soon as I tried to view it in calibre, the error made it quite obvious. Second try was complete.
