Touch Remove User Guide (Already rooted)

Hey I have been trying incessantly to remove the User guide and Quick Start Guide off the Nook Simple Touch. These are the steps I have done so far

1. Rooted Nook (Check)
2. Access Nook ST in the Command prompt via ADB (Check)

Now the problem is when I enter the command into Command prompt it gives me this:

adb connect <ip address>
connected to 10.0.1.22:555

adb shell rm -r /system/media/books/User_Guide.epub
rm failed for /system/me........epub, Read-Only file system

ARGGGGGHHH I have been working on this for weeks now and I am so frustrated. Anyone know a work around or ANYTHING I can do to get these things off?!?!?!

remount /system as rw and then delete.
mount -o remount,rw /system

Actually, the only thing you need to do is get a root browser and head to /system/media/books, where you will find both quick_start.epub and User_guide.epub at your mercy.

Best to just add a .bak extension to each epub file using a root browser - that way you will have them convenient should you ever need them again. After a reboot, they will no show up in the library if so renamed.

For anyone on 1.2 roms they're in /system/assets/userguides
