My library is 140K books, and is tolerable on a Synology DS213J (about the lowest-end NAS Synology sells today). Searches aren't very quick, but it does the job.

Thanks, that sound's excellent! It won't be a RPi. More like a VPS. Currently we're looking for the best way to integrate the uploaded e-books here @ MR to a calibre database. If that's all fine and done, I'll look into using COPS as our OPDS server.

Thank you for the continued developments. These new options in particular excite me. Is it possible to configure the new basic_authentication with multiple usernames and passwords? Which would then tie into the new user based configurations....
