PDF with scanned book, not all letters are visible

Hi

On my Kindle Touch 5.6.5 I want do read a PDF.
The PDF is a scanned book, no text but pictures.
The PC displays every letter perfectely, on the kindle some are missing.

I think, this is due to the eink screen, some letters are recognized as too light vs others and are not displayed.

How can I display all letters, are there some settings?

Where did you get this PDF?
And is this the only document that does this?
If the answer to question 2 is yes, then it is the PDF.

And e-ink readers are not ideal for pdfs.

I think there's another thread that talks about this. As I recall, the answer may have something to do with the PDF being formatted with colors? Or was it grayscales? Rather than strictly B&W. If you created it, play around with those settings. If you didn't ... read it on a tablet instead?? Or just the PC. Or ignore the missing letters?

edit: Actually, even if you didn't create it, try RE-saving a copy on your PC with those settings changed.

According to https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=275477 your PDF may be 1bit B&W. ((Maybe with high DPI)). Creating it as grayscale should help to get around this Kindle feature.
