Kobo custom font, naming scheme

I read a tutorial on how to add your own font to a Kobo eReader. It looks really easy, but the tutorial didn't happen to mention how the added fonts should be named. Would it be "CrimsonText-Regular," (BoldItalic, Bold, Italic...) or CrimsonText_Regular..."? Or does it even matter?

Yes it matters. These should work if they're .ttf files.
CrimsonText-Regular.ttf (or just plain CrimsonText.ttf)
CrimsonText-Bold.ttf
CrimsonText-Italic.ttf
CrimsonText-BoldItalic.ttf

If you have problems after you've loaded them you need to double-check the CrimsonText part of the name. It needs to match the internal font name. So if internally it's called Crimson Text Medium then use this as the first part of the 4 filenames instead.

Never mind. Nice explanation, Jackie.

One caveat is that after adding a font, you need to power cycle your Kobo for the new font to work properly.

Regards,
David

Thanks for the explanations. It sounds pretty similar to the "hackless" method for changing fonts on the Kindle, so it shouldn't be too hard for me to work it out.
