Wiley supports Kindle, but not Sony Reader!

I wanted to get Jack Cafferty's "It's Getting Ugly Out There...", which is available for Kindle on Amazon, but I could not find it in the Sony store. I contacted the publisher, Wiley, and a rep said that Wiley does not support the Reader, company wide: "Unfortunately, we do not offer any ebooks for the Sony Reader. This is the same across all our brands and titles.
To our knowledge there are no immediate plans to offer ebooks for the Sony Reader." I find this incredible. Does anyone have any insight into why a major publisher would offer books in Kindle format, but not Sony Reader? Is there a way to put pressure on them in this regard?

They seem to support MobiPocket and Adobe ebook formats. The Kindle AZW format can reasonably be considered a closed single-device format, but MobiPocket's standard contract with authors and publishers allow Amazon to sell AZW versions of MOBI ebooks. This gives Amazon a big advantage over Sony. It is also a good deal for publishers, who have to do nothing at all to get Kindle sales from MOBI ebooks.

It's available in Mobipocket at Fictionwise with a 54% micropay rebate. You can get it, remove the DRM, convert to html with mobi2html and then convert it to LRF from there.
