T3 use Android operating system and now only works with sony reading software. It has not been rooted to enable access to aps store with different ereader aps. Sony tries hard to prevent this. Maybe it will require giving a top hacker a new T3 too make it happen.
Sony development forum should have thread covering any news if someone is rooting T3. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=141 |

Pardon my confusion filmo, but what is your definition of e-reader software? I interpreted the question as, is the Sony software that one uses on the computer to uploads the files/books to the e-reader the only viable software or can one use Calibre or some other form of software. If I'm incorrect, please identify a software on the reader that would be significantly better than the reading software already present. Thanks.

Calibre is e-book library management software installed on your Linux, Windows, or Apple computer to support your e-book reader device. It now includes other functions including reading e-books and selling e-books. Calibre's e-book selling function helps to financially support this free program. http://calibre-ebook.com/about#history

I assumed this meant installed onto Sony T3 and was not about replacement for Sony desktop software for buying books from Sony or Adobe Digital Editions That is also useful for loading DRM epub books onto a Sony Reader. |

Thanks a lot, Filmo
Yes, that was the question. The idea was to buy some books in a Korean bookstore... but I'd need to install in the Sony device the Korean App (which Works on Android). Thanks a lot!
