Hi Dr. Drib,

I understand the necessity to respect the forum's rules, but you action is done on pictures of three years old. I remember that few months ago, the new rules were published about the images' size.

In this case, 3 years old pictures, I think it will be preferable to address a warning and give few days to change the pictures, before to erase them.

Me and other people following closely this part of the forum, then could backup the pictures if the author doesn't change them in the delay that you have given. And even post the pictures with the good resolution if the author doesn't do it.

Could you, for a few days, give access to the pictures ?

For the future. Note that attachments can exceed the image sizes. The limit is only for display of images inline.

The new rules and the communication about it (done few months ago) is very clear.

But I'm not the author of this pictures, just a person who need of it ;-)

provide an option to show in line image paper clip insertions as 600px thumbnails (or full size if smaller). Could be a post time option, but best if it were a reader option.

I many cases a 600px wide inline thumb would be more than good enough

Since you now have all 12 pictures you should create a post in that thread and attach all 12 images so others in the future will have access them. Once you create the post ask the mods to edit the first post to point to your post containing the images.

What exactly is the deal with larger sized photos anyways? If they hosted on MR then it isn't a bandwidth issue, right? It's 2015 and my smartphone has way more pixels than even my laptop does.
