For a change, the Ukrainian company LBook is not doing E-Ink. The-ebook.org reports: Quote:

Then it's not an ebook reader!
It's a tablet pc with ebook software loaded. I thought this site was aimed towards ebook readers (Aka: light, portable, long battery life, and preferably readable in sunlight?) |

This is an e-book site. Any device that can read e-books can be discussed on here.

My laptop, Ithing, desktop, Airpanel 100, and Jornada 720 are all ebook readers.

I'm looking for something with 10+ hrs battery life, myself. I don't mind charging overnight, but I don't want to have to be concerned about battery life during a single day.

Yes, when compared to netbooks (with same screen res, HDD, CPU) 4 hours is disappointing. But unlike a netbook, this is supposed to be handheld, so the form factor has to be light and thin enough to make that comfortable. Still I'd double battery capacity, whatever that takes. Flash memory instead of HDD might help with that too.

Last year while I was working in Brazil, from home to hotel was about 30 hours. I'll just stick with my e-ink thank you.

If it's a PC, it's a PC that doesn't display color. Give me a book reader-sized thing that has color and also plays movies and has wifi and you really have something. Obviously that's where the future will be.

What makes you think it doesn't display color?
