Is this screen faulty/broken?

Hi,

I got a stuck PRS-600, but it seems it is not stuck but rather has a faulty screen. And that is all becuse of not been used for several months?! Is it possible?!

When powered on some slight changes in the black/white areas happens, some flickering also sometimes, but no clear picture.

Could anyone tell for sure whether a screen is faulty by taking a look at the attached photo?

Thanks!

That is a very broken screen. May as well start looking for a new Reader as that one not worth fixing.

Yep that looks like it has a number of cracks in the screen substrate. Screen is done.
Twisting or flexing of the device or direct impact to the device can do this to the screen.

You have a broken substrate. Due to the age of the unit [manufacture date], it is not worth repairing.

Technology has moved forward, and these older units are (at best) curiosities.

You might be able to sell it for parts on ebay - with the clear understanding that it no longer works.
