Kindle Collections in Calibre

ON my Kindle, I keep authors in collections, for ease of indexing. Is there a way, of assigning or tagging in Calibre, such that the ebooks, authmatically go into collections on the kindle?

Providing you don't have a touch, see [GUI Plugin] Kindle Collections. The first post includes an example of how to make Kindle collections from authors (via a custom column).
