few newbie questions (about memory card/battery)

planning to buy prs505sc these couple days for my gf, but don't know which memory card to go - SD? pro duo? Or some suggested 2Gb SD + 8Gb PD = 10Gb? possible?

This reader will majority be her reader, and secondary mp3 player.

most people stated that reader can't read data after 2Gb in SD. is all 2Gb are ebooks? how about 1Gb for ebooks and 2Gb mp3 in a single memory card?

my target is about 4Gb ( e.g. <1G ebooks and about 3+Gb for mp3), is it possible in one memory card? or do i need to split it into 1Gb SD (or ProDuo) for reading, 4Gb Pro Duo(or SD) for music?

Has anyone done any stress test on his/her reader? e.g. continously reading and listening music to see how long the battery can last? Heard lot of pros about its battery can run extremely long, but how about reading plus music playing togther? or just playing music?

(oh sorry, i think i read somewhere people'd mentioned that Panasonic's SD is better (faster?). i just checked them online, and found they have few different classese (e.g. class 2, class 4 and class 6), also High Speed (HS 5Mb/s) or Super High speed (up to 133X) ? which is better? any different? )
newbie,
Mark

The Reader makes a pretty lousy MP3 player - its selection capabilities are primitive in the extreme; strict alphabetical order of ID3 tags. It's also "dangerous" in the sense that, once you start music playing, there's no "stop" button, just a "pause". It's extremely easy to accidentally leave it playing and completely flatten the battery.

I really wouldn't use the Reader as an MP3 player - use a separate "proper" MP3 player.

If you use it just for books, 2GB really is more than enough space.

First, thanks for your quick response Harry.

no "stop" button? can i leave the screen (back to reading) as for the "stop" function? Or do we have to turn off and back on to stop playing music? seems a kind of weird design?

In my experience, having a secure digital card in the reader depletes the battery very quickly. So quickly, (1 bar out of 4 a day) that it's not practical.

That said, the reader's internal memory holds hundreds (~200-300) books, which is plenty for me (but not as nearly as nice as being able to have 1000s on hand).
