What extension are you using to send to your kindles. When I try to send .AZW3 from Calibre I get an email that it failed.

You can only send .mobi, however, dual-format mobi is a .mobi that has a KF8 (.azw3) section inside.

Thanks. I have changed my preferences in Calibre to convert mobi to 'both'. Covers still don't show up though.

When emailing the book in Calibre, do you put 'convert' as the subject or leave it blank?

After using ExtractCoverThumbs? You should use ExtractCoverThumbs first to see cover thumbnails for that kind of files.

That's expected. That's what ExtractCoverThumbs tool does!

That is the point of this thread, to get covers working despite the fact that the Personal Documents service does not find them in dual-format .mobis -- use quiris' tool.

Since the books are already in .mobi format, there is no need to tell Amzon to convert them again.

Thanks all. Do you use the tool with your Kindle/Paperwhite/etc. attached or do you use it on the files/folders and then transfer them to the kindle.

Ok. I extracted and ran the Win exe file. Nothing happened. Do I have to install Python for it to work?
