Sony DPTS1 13.3" ereader

Hi,

Anyone watching the developments around Sony's new DPTS1 13.3" A4 size reader?

I would expect a lot of excitement about it in the Sony section of the forum but it seems very quiet here. I run a search and it returned nothing. Is the party over?

There's a big thread on it in the news forum:

Given how snarky Sony is these days, it probably won't sell in the U.S. like the PRS-T3 didn't.

I wouldn't be their customer for this. It might be nice for students and folks who like their books as pdf.

Thanks for the link. It's a mammoth thread. I whizzed through it shamelessly picking up the most interesting links and collating them in the first post. This is very exciting indeed.

Rizla, how those people managed to acquire one?

I found these:
http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/product-DPTS1/
http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/cat-dig...aper:resellers
Yet I know nothing about the safety of this site and whether it sells the device with an English interface.
