Request New or Enhanced Conversion Log

Request: During a conversion can you have all the failed write to a log that can be retrieved at the end with the file name and location?

I just had to manually write by hand 300+ names down and click ok to each error.

Now i have to go back and match the title to the author then find the file and see what i can do to fix it ... it would be much easier if i could refer to a log file list and not have to manually type the list.

Cheers

The dialog should have a copy button which copies the text to the clipboard. Is this not the case?

It does but that means i still have to do each one individually... plus all the extra information isnt neccessary... A simple list of the title author and file type would be perfect...

so basically if a job of 3000 is run and 150 fail because of a conversion error then a log file can be opened at the end that will have the list by title, author and file extension.

it would eliminate having to click each failure and save each failure or manually type it

it becomes a huge pain is the bum when your converting a collection of like 18k titles

Yes, it is. We often use that information to diagnose problems by. Removing it or making it harder to access would make it harder for the users to receive help, as well.

No where did i ask for that information to be removed from the jobs... where the full details can be retrieved...

what i'm asking is in addition can a log file be written of the job errors with just a few of the details..

file name, type and location

In a list. This would be extremely helpful i'm sure for a lot of us that do larger conversions
