Softroot on Classic 1001

Hey guys,
I got a hand-me-down Nook just yesterday, and I already love it!

I found the NookDevs site and set out to complete the Softroot, but I'm stuck at installing the 2.5.1 Softroot/ROM. I apologize if this has already been covered, or I'm overlooking something painfully obvious. Anyway, here is where I am so far:

The Nook has a serial number starting with 1001 (one of the original models). When I got the Nook it was running the 1.5 Official software. I followed NookDev's tutorial to the letter, and now the device is running 1.0.0 as it should be.

The problem I'm having is updating to the NookDev.com's 2.5.1 Softroot/ROM. I have the file on my MicroSD 4GB SDHC Card, the card is installed and working, and the file has been renamed to "bravo_update.dat".

I'll follow the process of turning off the Nook, turning it back on while holding the right-hand < button, and the updating app will start, but as soon as the touch screen starts looking for updates, the device just reboots, without completing the update.

If you can offer any help, it will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Maybe it's the formatting of the SD card?

It's FAT32 at the moment. If that could be a problem, I'll try to dig up another MicroSD card and give it another go.

I just tried a different card and found the same problem. I formatted it FAT32 and whatever the default allocation size is. Is it a problem with High Capacity cards maybe? Could I put the file directly onto the Nook's internal memory?

FAT16 or FAT32 should be fine. SD or SDHC should be fine, as long as it's not class 10 (the fastest).

Maybe the problem is something else. Sorry I can't help more.
