To answer your questions (hopefully)...[And I invite any corrections from other members]... 1)"new.ixl got put in the iSilo_converted file...should this be?" Yes - the converted channels are put in the "temporary" iSiloI (converted) directory where they wait until your next hotsync. From this directory (folder) they are in a direct conduit to your PDA, viz. they are automatically uploaded to your device without any manual intervention. After the hotsync this folder should be empty... 2)"...How can I change the destination permanently?..." Please read sUnShInE's thread "Pinned :New Instructions - Hotsync to MS" where this topic is covered in clear detail... Although these instructions are for Sony Clie MS [Memory Stick] note that it works for SD [Secure Digital] and MMS [MultiMediaStick] as well (Palm OS)...the main difference being the location of the iSiloI directory... 3)"do the icons...have to stay on the Desktop?..." No - you can move them wherever you like, however this would mean you would have to change your Run: line within Scheduler to point to the new location... For ex. say you move them off the Desktop into a folder that you name dillon65favorites that you have under your Program Files subdirectory - this would change the Run: line from... "C:\Program Files\iSilo\iSiloX\iSiloXC.exe" -x "C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\dillon65.ixl" -u to... "C:\Program Files\iSilo\iSiloX\iSiloXC.exe" -x "C:\Program Files\dillon65favorites\dillon65.ixl" -u but why confuse things I'd leave it on the Desktop - also remember you can have more than one channel in these custom .ixl's like maybe you'd have BBC,Guardian, CNN, all in your "news.ixl"... 4)"the wcc110 .ixl destination shows iSilo_converted...can this be changed?..." Yes - see answer 2) above Hope this helps |
