Which ipod touches will run iBooks?
Clearly, my 1st gen (8gb) model will NOT run iBooks, so I'd like to know what is the "minimum" configuration? 2nd gen w/16GB? 3rd gen w/32GB? Something else?

2nd Gen with iOS 4.x is the earliest iPod Touch that will run iBooks. But, you can give the txtr app a try on your 1st gen iPod Touch. You won't have the dictionary or the highlighting, but you will be able to read eBooks on your Touch.

My 2nd gen iPod Touch 32 gig runs iBooks just fine.

Books don't take up much space.

Probably not. Somehow I doubt it will run the DRMed files from the iBooks store.

Well then, what *use* is Txtr??? I need to be able to purchase and download books I've listed!
