@theducks - No mate - I'm a black and white, binary only, sort of guy, these days I can barely write my name, let alone code
I just did a fresh install of 32bit 1.205 on a Win7 Starter netbook I'm renovating for someone - no problems on it with Jobs list display. Try installing the portable version into a scrap folder. BR |

I haven't upgraded my 'real' calibre with 1.20n, I won't upgrade it until V2.0 is released and then only if/when the Import List PI gets Qt5'd. So my 1.205 portable has a fairly new config folder containing the dross from a few weeks usage, rather than a few years BR |

@spruce: Regardless of what the "internet" might have to say on the subject, it makes absolutely no sense for a user program to prevent the OS from sleeping. Programs cannot read the users mind, if you dont want your computer to sleep, tell it that via the power control settings, otherwise your OS will become a completely unpredictable beast, where any random user program can change fundamental OS behaviors at whim.
I can just see the complaints now. "I started a calibre bulk conversion and closed my laptop lid to drive to the office, and horrors, when I got there my laptop battery was totally drained and I couldn't make an important presentation and I got fired, how dare you mess with the sleep function on my laptop!!!" @theducks: I agree with BR, the most likely culprit is some stale cached config data. |

Previously I reported that I can't drag & drop file from Chrome.
I version 1.205 I can't drag & drop files from a file manager (Krusader, Dolphin) into a right book info pane. Neither picture file (for cover) nor alternate format file (for example book.html) work. I can D&D cover from Firefox. I can D&D cover from xfe file manager. I DO know it worked from Krusader, because I am using this functionality all the time. I can D&D the same file that the book pane doesn't accept to a grid as a new book. I am running on Mint Linux 16 Petra KDE version - built on Ubuntu 13.10 |

Drag and drop from dolphin to the book details panel works for me. Tried with a pdf and an image and an epub.

Running on OSX 10.9.4
Copy to library crashes and then there is nothing in the sub menu to copy to. Then on restart does not show a menu at top of page and no icon in dock. Old calibre had the correct behaviour. After going back I notice that new calibre buttons in the top bar are appear to be depressed (current is all one colour new is lighter than the background) and the spacing between lines of the books and filters is much more than the old |

Copy to library works perfectly on my OSX 10.9 machine.
Start calibre as /Applications/calibre.app/Contents/console.app/Contents/MacOS/calibre-debug -g in a terminal and post the output. Or start calibre as normal and post the output from console.app when it doesn't start. |

I am using mainly Krusader and Drag and drop sometimes works (after more tests), sometimes doesn't. I will try to find out how to reproduce that situation so I can either find a workaround or submit a better report.

@kacir: Run calibre in debug mode and it will print lots of info about the drag and drop events. calibre-debug -g
