Translating the framework. Few notes. For those interested.
From what ixtab said a long time back, and messing around in the system.
There are 4 parts to translation: 1 ) Blanket: Stuff in /usr/share/blanket 2 ) Pillow: /usr/share/webkit-1.0/pillow/locales 3 ) Java stuff in /opt/amazon/ebook/lib. That's both the toughest and most dangerous part. 4 ) /var/local/mesquite stuff PLUS: You need to figure out a way to "register" the languages after translation. That way they will appear in the setting menu. |

All steps required for K5 (PW included) localization were found and automatized long ago. ixtab lost his interest in localization just because Amazon introduced official German localization (I suppose so), but at that moment there weren't any unsolved technical problem in unofficial l10n process. So read the topic (https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=162654) and get the tools (https://bitbucket.org/katey_hack/kindle-touch-l10n/).
