Location of Calibre Library

Just curious, do you leave your library in the default location of:

user\your name\calibre library

or do you put it in 'my documents'

Thanks,
Carol

I keep my libraries in My Documents. Makes local backups easier. I can see the argument for keeping it in the default location. People are less likely to be tempted to mess with it there.

I have a folder located at C:/MyFiles/Library/Books/ with all of my books in their various formats. Each format has its own folder, and I simply added CalibreLibrary to the Books subfolder. That way I can keep everything in one place.

I have a Calibre Library folder within my Dropbox folder. The dropbox folder automatically synchronizes with dropbox.com and then my other computer, giving me a good backup and sharing my books on both my computers.

So my books are always backed up as soon as I am internet connected.

Like DJHARKAVY, my library is in my dropbox folder. I do this so that changes are automatically propagated to the machine 'in the cloud' running my content server, and to my travel laptop. Backups are a plus, but not a big one because I have other solutions for that.

I too have my library in my dropbox folder. It has often protected my library from the worst hazard my library faces... Me.

Like the time I had my son's reader hooked up and I started deleting books from his device only to discover I wasn't in the device view but still in the library view, Ouch!
