Travel Hub taken apart and altered to be power-only cable.

Hi, I'm a newbie.

I've taken the travel hub apart and made a power-only cable.
It's OK, because I have another one. :-)

And I've also made a black-and-red cable on the picture to let my 15V laptop adapter connected to the iLiad.

On the last picture, the red cable and sky-blue one on the left are the plus power cable.
The bluish green one isolated on the right is the minus cable.
Another minus is the bottom-left golden plate.

But, you know, I don't know anything more because I didn't do the job my self. :-)

Ouch! I am sure your travel hub didn't deserve this.

For me, such a power cable, that could charge the Iliad from a normal USB socket would (at least partially) solve the heated issue of hibernate mode that has a long thread elsewhere in the forum.

Five days a week, I carry my Iliad to work and back. If I could charge it from one of my work PC's USB ports, I could leave it on all day, hence avoiding the shutdown / startup time which is the main issue.

Yes, I could do that with the existing hub, but it's so big it's a pain to carry around.

Anyone from iRex listening ???
