Hi,
Python is a interpreted programming language without tight variable typing. Coding in python is easier and quicker than coding in most other languages. Also the language has been set up so that writing code that runs on all platforms (Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows) is relatively painless. The program Calibre is in fact coded in python. I am sure if you google "Wiki and Python" you can get a better summary. |

It's a programming language. Best one I've ever tried. You can learn more by reading The Python Tutorial.
