Search & Replace on only mobi half of a mobi/k8 combined file
Hello. I'm working on making some .epubs that I'm generating into mobi files.
I was using kindlegen, but it was making some horrible work of the output, essentially making all formatting default back to .mobi standard. None of the nicer epub-like K8 features at all. So I started using Calibre, from the command line, ala: ebook-convert 151.epub 151.mobi --mobi-file-type both This works great, I get my higher-design K8 on the devices that support it, and it works nice. And the lower devices can handle the the lesser formatted MOBI. However, I have a problem. Because of the design features I'm using in my epub and K8 ... they don't render that well in the mobi half of the .mobi. So I'd like to just use some simple search-and-replace to fix that. However, is there any way for me to make the search-and-replace ONLY effect the mobi half of the file, and not the K8 half? |
