Es soll das Pocketbook 360 werden - doch welche Farbe nur?

Ich habe mich entschieden - Ich werde vom Sony PRS 505 zum Pocketbook 360 wechseln. Der txtr kam auch in Frage, aber der offensichtlich sehr gute Support beim Pocketbook, die einfache Installation verschiedener Dictionaries, die vielen möglichen Fonts und Schriftgrößen und, und ,und ... haben mich überzeugt. Der tolle Testtagebuch-Thread von mtravellerh hat mich dann komplett umgestimmt.

Der Sony PRS 505 hat Minuspunkte bei mir gesammelt: Kein Blocksatz, keine Dictionaries, keine Firmwareupdates und ganz schön langsam!

Nun schwebt mein Finger über dem Bestellbutton auf http://www.my-ebook-reader.de/ und ich muss mich nur noch entscheiden welche Farbe es sein soll: Schwarz oder elfenbein. Optisch gefällt mir schwarz ja besser, aber ich lese immer wieder, dass der starke Kontrast zwischen Rand und Dispaly eher hinderlich für die Lesbarkeit sein soll. Nicht ohne Grund etwa sei der Kindle in hellgrau gehalten.

Was meint ihr? Vielleicht können die User mit den vielen verschiedenen Geräten/Erfahrungen mir bei meiner Entscheidung helfen?

Ich habe beide Farben in den Händen gehalten. Mir persönlich ist der verwendete Schwarzton ZU intensiv schwarz. Dadurch erhält das Display so einen "Kummerrahmen". Beim Cybook Gen3 z.B. fällt das nicht auf. Entweder ist der Rand dort kleiner, oder deren Schwarz ist doch eher anthrazit.

In weiß (eher ein gedecktes, kein grelles Weiß) wirkt das Gerät offener, und das Display kommt besser zur Geltung.

Sind aber ganz persönlich gefärbte Eindrücke. Dafür gefällt mir das Rautenmuster beim schwarzen Design wieder besser, seufz ...

Ich hab die helle Ausführung bestellt. Ich besitze bereits zwei dunkle Reader, da ist die helle Ausführung mal was anderes.

Ahhh... Ihr bringt mich ins grübeln...

Wollte eigentlich das PB360 in schwarz bestellen, da das Gehäuse wohl selbst aus schwarzem Material besteht und da dann keine Farbe abscheuern kann.

Die helle Ausführung ist ja elfenbeinfarben lakiert und ob das auf längere Zeit dann so toll bleibt?

Jetzt bin ich wieder am überlegen... kommt schon... überzeugt mich!

Weiss ist Elfenbein eigentlich und gefällt mir gut. Gott sei Dank schmutzt das Teil nicht so leicht, da bin ich nämlich echt ein Schwerenöter!

Mit dem Abscheuern weiss ich auch noch nicht, aber es gibt ja drei Jahre Garantie, oder? (Da war ich leider zu früh dran und hab "nur" 2)

Ich denke SOOO empfindlich ist das auch wieder nicht.

Du kannst ja noch ein halbes Jahr warten und dann mal nachfragen.....


Lackstifte zum ausbessern wären mal ein ganz besonderes Zubehör...

Naja, die Garantie wird ja wohl nicht bei abscheuern greifen.

Allerdings muss ich auch sagen, dass mir ein helles Gehäuse auch sympathischer wäre.

Muss noch überlegen... und hoffe noch auf gute Argumente hier...

Hah! Das werde ich wohl nicht schaffen! Nachdem ich jetzt wegen dem txtr schon soooo lange gewartet habe, muss JETZT ein Reader her und nachdem der txtr seit gestern ganz plötzlich für mich nicht mehr interessant ist, muss es nun das PB360 sein.

Was mich am PB360 absolut überzeugt ist der hier im Forum durch Forkosigan geleistete excellente Support (wobei ich Euch alle Anderen dabei nicht ausnehmen will!) und auch das Konzept als offenes Gerät. Außerdem scheint die Software sehr durchdacht und relativ fehlerfrei zu sein.

Aber nun btt... Welche Farbe?

Hm, was für Farben bevorzugst Du in Deiner Kleidung? Wenn Du mit dem Teil öfters unterwegs bist, sollte es schließlich zu Deinem üblichen modischen Outfit passen ... und da paßt Elfenbein eigentlich zu nahezu allen Farben. Und es wirkt nicht so trist und düster wie Schwarz. Du liest schließlich aus Vergnügen, und nicht, um Trauerarbeit abzuleisten (vermute ich jetzt einfach mal so )

Danke! Das hilft bei der Entscheidung - das war auch meine Vermutung, dass der helle Rahmen sich besser mit dem Display verträgt.

OK, Ihr habt mich überzeugt! Ich tendiere nun immer mehr zur hellen Ausführung und denke es wird elfenbein!

Vielleicht kann Pocketbook die Farbpalette noch um ein loriot'sches gediegenes Steingrau oder ein heiteres Mausgrau erweitern ...
