I'm astonished it has taken them this long to get around to this, but, hey ... they are here now. It's seemed like a huge hole in their, erm, strategy to date.

Ugh. They appear to have followed the iBooks "giant margins are good on tiny screens!! !! uu!!" school of design.

"With Reader's page sync technology, you can pick up where you left off from any Reader device or app by Sony"
ANY Reader? How's that going to work with my PRS-300? |

I'm sure you will have to plug your reader into the computer every time you want the page sync to work properly. That's pretty lame.

Very cool - I wonder if the Sony app will allow sideloading of ADE epubs...

We don't actually know this yet. A lot of ePub have margins set in them. So this could be the margins set in that ePub on the screen. We just have to wait and see. But I do hope we don't have preset stupid margins like iBooks and the Kindle App. The Kindle App actually has larger margins then iBooks.

This might be interesting if they have an iPad version. With Sony, you just never know. I look forward to seeing which company comes out with the best browsing and buying experience.

This is great news and about time Sony got around to it. It's because Sony didn't offer this feature, that I've been buying most of my books from Kobo who has always had it.
