They say for every boy and girl,
There's just one love in this old world, And I, I kn-ow, I, I, I've found mine. The heavenly touch of your embrace, Tells me no one will take your place, A, A, A, A, ever in my heart. Young love, first love, Filled with true devotion, Young love, our love, We share with deep emotion. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=674smNMUPx0 ) Good morning, everyone! Firecrackers have been going off since sunrise, chasing out the old bad spirits to make room for the good spirits of the Year of the Horse to settle in. There should be a hot time in the old town tonight! Northern Thailand has a huge population of Chinese-Thai, and many of the elders in some of the hilltribes can even read Chinese characters! Chiang Mai has a large Chinatown section, and there will be activities going on there all weekend. Think I'll get my camera out for this one! To celebrate, I'll be drinking Keemun teas today. I prefer that to firecrackers, although the punch is about the same, just quieter... Oops! There goes another string! Sounds like a poorly timed machine gun! Stitchawl |

Working on some Oolong here.
I am partial to the year of the dragon. I am married to one and gave birth to another. One is Fire and the other Water. Should make for an interesting household. I am a boar. (sits back and waits for the bad jokes) |

I'm an Earth Monkey which apparently gets along well with both Dragons and Boars.

OK I went to Wikipedia and found this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_Zodiac So I am a: Year: Yin Metal Pig Month: Rooster Day: Horse Hour: Tiger, Rabbit, or Dragon. I was born in a car and it took a while to get the birth certificate filled out so the exact time of birth is not known. Mom was having me, Dad was driving, no one was looking at the clock. |

As a Fire Dog, I've always been partial to Dalmatians...
Just about to pour a small glass of Bombay Sapphire, and await the midnight noise when the fireworks will explode once again over the city. I've got my camera set up in the window again, and hopefully, will be awake enough to drive it. Stitchawl |

Having my third mug of tea, looking at the pictures on this page, and being reminded of the old Ghost Rider comics I read in college.

Yet another mug of Keemun tea to wash down all the foods we at in Chinatown tonight! Festivals are fun but require energy. I was pretty spent after fencing all afternoon (we had a team foil competition, and my team won 45-41) with two members of the Thai National team playing with us today. I'd prefer to think of it as a real 'learning experience,' rather than as getting sliced and diced.
