underwhelming statement
Got a kindle paperwhite. weeeee
Impressions: very light (pun intended), top-notch grip, top-notch contrast (compared to a pre-Pearl eink screen like that in iriver Story), awesome integration with amazon store and even a nice enough brower so I could download a few HarryT's ebooks from here. summing up: THE eink device. now, regarding that "it's not backlit, it's lit from the sides": in the bedroom, all lights out, it still shines as much light over the walls as my smartphone does. yes, even with both at their minimum very happilly churning along the 4-book Song of Fire and Ice bargain collection as it properly deserves... (funny, couldn't get Calibre to properly convert it to epub so to read it on Story.) either way, loving it. |

sides, bottom, doesn't matter: it still shines as much on the eyes and walls as a backlit device, when both on a minimum lighting level.
no big deal, anyway |
