Exclamation Apps lagging behind making it obsolete

Hello,

Facebook issues:
Cannot watch videos in Facebook
Cannot use new Like feature. I used the same steps I used to get it working on my Android phone all the way up to clear cache, data, stop and open and login.

Is Facebook stopping Developing? Or is it because I am running 4.5.5.1 I think it is? Isn't it Android 4.4.4. I understand new versions don't show up in older OS's.

The new 5.x was available to manual download yesterday, but was pulled by today. I should have downloaded it last night...

I don't know if I should sell mine and buy a new non-Amazon device or not?

Also the AccuWeather paid app is old and was not working on my Nexus phone right. I removed it and had to pay for the paid version on Play and it was a new major version, new and better UI and no more current temp running off the screen so I can't read it.

Is this because of the lack of the 5.x update? Or are dev's dropping support for Amazon App Market?

Thanks.

Fire HDX 8.9 3rd Gen

New Fire are 5.? They are More Android than Amazon So don't know if investing in a New Fire be worth it or you just buy another ..newer Android Tablet.
