Sorry, I really don't know much about the Smart Q7, but if you look through the threads over here you might find some people who can help, and there are reviews etc which should have the information you need.

I'm fairly sure if your questions aren't already answered there someone will be able to help

The SmartQ 7 comes with a Word Processor (AbiWord) and Spreadsheet (Gnumeric) already loaded. Open Office I believe may struggle to run at present, hopefully things will improve with time.
There is a pdf program available called "xournal" that will let you markup pdfs (courtesy of 'jrj').
Most people I believe have purchased from http://www.eletroworld.cn/ but you will have to email him if you wish to purchase as there is no ecommerce on the site.

Thanks. Your help is very importand. One more thing. You mean that you can transfer pdf files in q7 and are recognized. Also you can make annotations and highlighting?

What is your general impression of the device?

I am thinking serious to buy one.

also if a pdf file is loaded in q7 and makes some annotations is possible then to be recognized from a pdf program like adobe reader when is transfered again in a desktop computer?
Thanks for your time.
I think that your answers will improve the knowledge of features of this device.
Something that should be done by manufacturers!!

The PDF viewer used by the Q7 is Evince.

More information on Evince is available here: http://projects.gnome.org/evince/.

It's a basic program without a lot of features.

For example, annotations have not been implemented yet. See http://live.gnome.org/Evince/Roadmap but they are coming in version 2.28.

Also, you may want to contact the person running this project and let him know what else you would like to see added to Evince. His blog is here: http://carlosgc.linups.org/.

Perhaps you would be willing to help him beta test the latest version.
