It looks very like the BeBook Neo. I wonder if it's based on the same hardware device?

It's your "bookeen protection shield" that is bothering me, but you and I talked about that months ago, so for the sake of this thread and its readers I won't go there, it's as I said boring.

Are you really happy with having only one choice ? So because there is windows, we don't need macOS or Linux ? Or because there is the iPhone, we don't need the nexus one, or desire, or wave ? Or because the iPad is there, we don't need other tablet ? Lucky not everyone thinks that way, or the world would be boring, with everyone having the same stuff. This have noting to do with "bookeen protection shield". It have everything to do with having choice. Last edited by EowynCarter; 08-28-2010 at 04:56 PM. |

OK, you win, it's a different device. Do you have a date for the availability on the market ? Since you seem to know a lot, can you check the Booq Avant and apart from the design can you tell me whether it's very different from the Orizon ?

But at least Sipix Screen and eInk screen are not driven the same way, they CAN'T be sam device, event from a little.
The form factor resemblance is, for me, purely a coincidence. The Orizon is more like a big Opus, than an Onyx. |

Most of all, Bookeen uses its own firmware.

I agree, the differences between both devices are really big. The Orizon will be judged in how good the touchscreen will work and if it really has no influence on the sharpness of the screen, I guess. Oh and on the SiPix screen itself, of course.

btw: I don't understand why Onyx doesn't support Bluetooth, but that's off topic. WiFi and BT module does cost exactly the same as WiFi module alone.

I can only say how the touchscreen on my sipix screen works... It has absolutely no influence on the sharpness of the screen.
