Preferred Input Formats

The FAQ states:
Quote:
What are the best source formats to convert?

In order of decreasing preference: LIT, MOBI, EPUB, HTML, PRC, RTF, PDB, TXT, PDF
Where does LRF fall in that list ?

( I would guess that when that FAQ was written, LRF was the obvious output format, so what it was not included in that list. But now, I want to convert to EPUB. )

Thanks !

Go to Preferences, Behavior. On the bottom left you will see a comprehensive list. LRF is very close to the bottom.

If it is a well formatted lrf it should convert into a readable ePub. As long as you don't expect an perfect copy you should be fine. Like any other conversion garbage in equals garbage out.

Thanks.

Ouch - even below PDF.

It looks like I should avoid LRF if there is some other format available...

Don't trust PDBs either. They are usually a mixed bag where sometimes you get a good conversion but most of the time you get dialogs split in several lines - happened to me many times.
