T-2 Back on sale at US Sony Bookstore

I just checked - The Sony T-2 is back on sale at the Sony Bookstore for US customers - only the black version is offered - the red is marked as discontinued. The black version seems to be on back-order! Here is the text:

"Coming Soon. We will notify you when the product becomes available
$ 99.99"

My guess is that they are drawing in unsold units from other countries and selling them in the USA; they may be delayed by having to repackage them into English Language boxes.

My guess is that when they have finally sold off the last of the T-2's then they will finally release the T-3 to the USA market.

In the mean time, the T-3 has been restored to the Canadian page.

Cheers

Had a faulty T1 replaced with a like-new T2 the other day. Have to say, the T2 is a nice piece of kit.

Looks like Sony found some old readers hidden someplace and good price.
Kobo Mini has 5 inch touch screen in smaller over all size and only on/off switch. 2gig internal memory but easy to clone internal memory to larger micro sd card and swop it with original memory. No external memory slot. I bought my Kobo mini for $40. on discount which happens now and then.

More likely they are just selling off the last of the T2s they have in stock before finally leaving the US market.

I suspect this is the end of the Sony Readers. I had to do a search to even find them, they've been removed from the opening page.

Doing a search on the Sony Store (US) for "ereader" it shows all older models as

"DISCONTINUED. CONTACT US FOR OTHER OPTIONS: 877-865-7669"

--don't bother calling the rep was clueless.

I still use my 505, but with sony not selling the t3 in the US gave me the indication that they were in fact going to shutdown their reader line so I bought a refurbished t2 on eBay. I am pleased with it, but I'm keeping it on reserve until my 505 is no longer useful.

There are still two 505s going strong in my household! I'm surprised that the batteries haven't weakened more considerably.

My 505 still works fine too, although it's a bit slow compared to more modern devices.
