I keep asking them to remail my library card, and I have still yet to recieve it after, well 4 months. May walk to the Independance branch at lunch today.

I just did the same thing. They emailed me a working temporary card and PIN, even though I gave my real address in Nevada. I emailed them asking how to pay their fee, since I'm happy to support the library in exchange for taking out ebooks.

Check is your local library partners with overdrive.com. They specialize in audiobooks, but just started carrying ebooks.

I went to DC library in person to pick up the card. I'm wondering if it's the PIN that expires. You don't need the PIN to download though. You probably need it for putting holds on hard copy books etc. though.
