Arnonel, I have no idea which classics Sony has included in their 100 classics bundle, but I'll bet that most if not all of them are available here at MobileRead. After all, you can get all of the Harvard Classics here. Dr. Drib, Madame Broshkina, and many others have uploaded well over 1000 books in the Sony format, so I'm sure you'll find something wonderful to read.

Welcome to MobileRead. We're glad you've dropped by.

Hi arnonel and welcome to the Forum. There are more free books on this site for the Sony than you've had hot dinners.

Enjoy

There are plenty of other websites that'll allow you to purchase 'contemporary' content. One of them is eg booksonboard.

If I'm not mistaken you might have to do some text conversion to get it into a suitable format (it's a shame the sony does not support mobipocket). There's a whole forum subsection on the sony, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for there.

Welcome on board !!

Btw do you speak zuid afrikaans ??? Always happy to learn more about that peculiar language (I'm Dutch speaking myself).

It's funny but my german colleague thinks dutch is a funny version of German
I think of zuid afrikaans as a funny version of Dutch
The only things I remember are 'baie dankie' and the double negative 'moe nie <whatever> nie ...'

Arnonel, You can get the 100 free classics, even though you are not in the USA. When you access the Sony ebook store and go on to 'my account' just ignore the screen which asks for your credit card details. Proceed to order your classics. As they are free there will be no problem downloading them.
I did this. I'm in the UK. Actually, I found that the 100 free classics were very poorly formatted, so I only downloaded a few, then gave up and made my own.

And welcome to the forum.
