Bring Out Your Dead!
Since Halloween and All Saint's Day are upon us, I thought a thread with pictures/stories about family tombs would be fun.
I'll start with this one, it belongs to my greatx3 Fallon grandparents, who came over from Roscommon with their kids to New York in 1840 and ended up in Pass Christian, MS. Sadly, this tomb "ain't dere no more" due to Hurricane Katrina. |

okay, okay, a real one....
Not that there's anything spooky .... he came to Oklahoma when it was Indian Territory, had one ear half-bitten off in a fight, carried a six-gun.... Last edited by kennyc; 10-30-2013 at 10:34 AM. |

Very nice. I really like the second picture with the greenery. If they were Catholic, you might find that out in the archdiocese records. I know I had some luck on the Creole side in the Archdiocese of NOLA records. It will sometimes say where they were from in the marriage record or something (Champagne region, Bordeaux, etc.).
