Your first ebook read of 2010
What is it?
Myself, I am finishing off two books started in '09 right now but I think my first 'fresh for 2010' read is going to be Under the Dome since I think it will be the book club choice. |

I had started "Boomerang" and finished in New Years Day, and then I read "How I Met My Countess" by Elizabeth Boyle.

I finished off the seventh novel in the Sookie Stackhouse series last night, and I am still reading "Lord of Light", but my first "fresh" novels will be "The Queen of Attolia" and whatever the book club choice will be this month. My Goodreads fantasy book club choice for January is "A Game of Thrones", so I will probably reread that and read Philip Roth's "The Human Stain" later this month.

I've started Under The Dome as well, ficbot. From the size of it, I might not finish until 2011!

I'm in the middle (well, not quite to the middle yet) of Dickens's 'Little Dorrit' so I'll be reading that for awhile.
As to my first 'fresh' book of 2010? I won't know until I get there. |

No Place To Hide, by Robert O'Farrell. About the nature and growth of ubiquitous surveillance technology since 9/11, and what it might be like in the future. Because, you know, I like a little light reading after New Year.

I had started The Movie by Bosley Gravel on the 30th of December, finished it on the first day of 2010. My next book is Fahrenheit 451.

I finished Under the Dome on New Years, and then started The Alchemyst by Michael Scott, for something "lighter" before I begin reading Map of Bones from James Rollins (unless Anathem gets chosen for the book of the month ).

I'm a bit over 100 pages into Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett but I'm jumping in and out of it and reading lots of short stories (mostly paper) so it's a slower go than normal. Next will be whatever wins the January Book Club poll.

I recently bought Dan Simmons' "Drood"; so thought I'd read Dickens' "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" first. |

Just finished Love and War by John and Stasi Eldredge. And just started Shadow Warriors by Tom Clancy
I plan to read a lot more this year and I do not mean Tech Material this time. Chuck |
