Favour requested - Smallest font size photo?

I'm interested in the smallest font size that can be displayed on the 505 for normal LRF files, rather than PDF, and without imposing the page turning overhead that I understand is caused by using embedded fonts.

Could some kind soul upload a photo of the reader displaying a book at the smallest font setting?

When whoever creates the book does so, they can specify the 'default' (small?) font-size. By default, in Calibre, that's 10.0pt, but you can do it smaller (e.g. txt2lrf --base-font-size=1 demo.txt) and it looks like this....

Some people report improved speed for LRFs with embedded fonts in the latest firmware.

And there is no speed penalty from setting font size in the file?
If not then that sounds ideal.

True, I think, but marginal. In my case. I use Futura Lt Bt.

I've tested out embedding Times New Roman and the 505 with the new firmware page turned quite nicely. No more 2-3 second delay.
