I don't know anything about this particular Christopher Moore, but I do know that he is selling (or trying to sell) each of the short stories in the Chairs collection for a buck apiece, so the entire collection at $3 could be a good deal ... if the writing is good.

It looks like Chairs -- 16 short stories -- was published in paper in 2000.

Christopher is the author of 20 novels, one collection of short stories and one non-fiction book. He is best known by his award-winning Vincent Calvino private eye series, which has been translated into a dozen languages. The third novel in the series, Zero Hour in Phnom Penh, won the German Critics Award for Crime Fiction (Deutscher Krimi Preis) for best international crime…
Sounds worth getting to know!

Don't have much to say about Chairs since short stories aren't my preference. But Gambling on Magic had me rooted to the spot for a whole day. Probably because I was in that particular area the books is talking about.
