Good deal for Oz Readers

Having had my Sony reader for a number of months now I have purchased all my books from US books stores such as Books On Board but I noticed today that thanks to the Oz dollars spectacular plummet it is currently much cheaper to buy some ebooks from local australian ebooks stores such as harpercollinsebooks.com.au
I purchased Archangel Project ebook for AU$7.99 . On US stores such as fictionwise and booksonboard it works out to be over AU$10. Other examples are Karen Traviss books for less than AU$8.
At last a little good news for Oz readers

I've found the same thing with iPhone apps. They are often US$5 and AU$6 so I save about AU$1.50 by buying them from my Australian account. Of course it would be nice if the dollar appreciated again because I don't fancy buying eBook readers and books of Amazon at around 1.5 times the price I could have paid earlier this year.

Yeah, I hope the Oz dollar climbs back up to a decent level because I like have a huge range of ebooks to choose at decent prices rather than a small pool.
Plus Books on board and fictionwise have good incentives as well. Over the last few months I have bought US$180 worth of ebooks for about US$97 from books on board.
Still it looks like I may be buy a few more harper collins ebooks until things improve

I've been waiting for the release of the Sony PRS-700. At todays rate, it will cost about $695AUD (inc shipping) to buy from www.bpphotovideo.com (a 505 would cost approx $515AUD).

It makes a Cybook from Dymocks more attractive ($599 + shipping) , although I just don't think I like the button placement...

Anyway, the decline of the $AUD is hurting my plans to purchase a new reader. (my 505 was stolen a few months ago).
