I would like to find an ebook version of Wide Sargasso Sea. I've checked the Sony store and Books on Board as well as the generous supply of ebooks here on Mobile Read but cannot locate it. Am I looking for something that doesn't exist? I'm quite willing to pay for the book. I just want the ebook version.

Jean Rhys died in 1979 so her work is still under copyright.
Googling on:

"Wide Sargasso Sea" ebook

fails to find any legal copies of ebooks; not even for ready money.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think you're out of luck. I checked Inkmesh which turns up three study guides for the book, but not the book itself. The SONY store doesn't have it.

Sigh! Oh well, I found a paper copy on paperbackswap.com and had credits to get it with nothing paid out of pocket, so that will have to do. It is interesting what is and is not available as an ebook though.
