Kindle 3 not sorting by most recent.

the power button on my kindle started getting stiff and doesnt slide easily, so i tried moving it back and forth really fast, but that resulted in the kindle crashing lol. the screen went all messed up and it rebooted. now the books dont sort by most recent for me! they sort by title and author, but the most recent sort feature doesnt work! it works on the home screen though with the collections, but not inside a collection.

how do i fix this?

Turn wireless on and "sync". See if that doesn't solve the problem.

whats sync? the wireless doesnt turn on either. it just doesnt connect to my router. it used to in the past though.

i got it fixed!

i recently bought a laptop, and forgot to update the number of ip addresses in my router from 3 devices to 4, so thats why my kindle couldnt connect!

it connected online and now the sorting works... however in my attempt to fix it i reset to factory defaults so now have to put all my books back in it and organize

plus i forgot to back up my bookmarks and underlines.. NOOOOOOOOOOOO
