new published fantasy author

HI everyone: My name is David Pauly and I just got published last week! The title of my book is "Icarus Rising". Icarus is a fantasy fiction story, where a medieval world full of different races of Men, Elves, Dwarves, and Gracies have recently defeated the Terrible Dark Lord, Magnar. Now each race is trying to keep their lands and skills for themselves while expanding into each other's territory. Each race of people believes that not only are they acting in their own self interest, but in the best interests of the entire world. Conflict quickly grows within and without of each race creating a complex world of intermeshing alliances and relationships. War threaten to break out when multiple assassinations explode across the City of Westmen, nearly killing crown prince Alfrahil. Who is to blame for these dastardly attacks?

HI Paul: to answer your query (pun intended) I have been told that I look like a young akroyd "millions and billions" of times. Thanks for your comments on the artwork, I found the artist on deviantart.com. he took an existing piece of art and added the Icarus figure for me. I think its catchy. Thanks for welcoming me.

Congratulations on getting published! I used to have delusions of being an author when I was younger, but soon realized I'm only good at schlok, so I've settled for reading as much as I can get my hands on instead =).

I'll grab a copy of your book when I come across it, but it better damn well be good or else .

Thanks for your interest in the book, and it is a "damn good read" I promise. The first 2 chapters are quite important for books 2-5 that I am in the process of writing, but not terribly important for Icarus as a stand alone book. if you get stuck, skip to chapter 3 as the main story starts there. Sorry to hear that you are only good at schlok, I think I know how you feel as I tried to play music for over a decade and sadly realized I have no talent for music. I compensated by purchasing a ridiculously expensive stereo and simply listen now adays.
