Do the page next physical buttons work on browser?

Hi,
As the title says I am wondering if the physical page next buttons on the Nook Simple Touch (Glowlight) do a page up and page down when using the web browser. Either rooted or not.

Can someone who has one test it out for me please? As if it does, I think I'll be buying one.

thanks

If un-rooted, the buttons do not work on the browser. Only finger scrolling works and it's a bit tricky to get right.

Thanks, do you (or anyone have) a rooted Nook to see if the buttons work on something like Opera Mini?

I already have a paperwhite but much preferred the buttons when i was using the kindle keyboard and those buttons did do web browser page up/downs.
