Installing a clean version of Android 2.3

Hi everyone, big question! Is there a step-by-step guide to installing a clean version of Android 2.3 on the Kobo Vox? Could it even be possible to install other versions of Android?

The folks working up above in the sticky will, no doubt, eventually get the Vox to the point where a custom ROM can be installed on a rooted Vox. Go Hackers Go!

I'm not quite sure I understand - how would you want to make it cleaner?
They already cleaned out much of the clean Android 2.3 (if you mean the FOSS package), like Bluetooth and Voice search (which we can't use...? - of course, you can go ahead through the whole code and remove the devices nodes for the bluetooth and the mic if you want...). So far, the only place I see where they changed something is within the notification bar and the settings section.

Things I'd like to check though is if the USB plug there is also a host (and if yes, it would be awesome to be able to plug keyboard, bluetooth dongles, 3G dongles, GPS dongles, headsets, blabla - all that would need to be enabled) and if the factory in China really saved the 2 cents on the headphone plug (and used a plug which doesn't have a connector for Apple-like headphone/speaker combination). Plus, a custom ROM would probably ship with the Google Apps. As such, if there is a 2.3 at all, you have good chances it will be way more bloated than the original :-)
